About the Course

Novices and seasoned golfers alike can enjoy the Sand Hollow golf course. This notable site offers three courses: the Wee Course ideal for families or as a warmup for frequent golfers; the Links course, for those who might play but not consistently; and the Championship Course, a challenging par-72, the 7,300-yard course marked with natural vegetation, red rock canyons and outcroppings, gently rolling emerald green fairways, and a dramatic ridgeline and elevation drops that make these links among the best in the West.

With a daunting dogleg Hole 6, the front nine is mainly flat, but the back nine will have you shoot downhill with several elevation drops and then along the cliffs where you will be mentally and physically challenged.

The back nine begs for camera shots; first-timers often stop to marvel at the sight and are known to place requests to play the course again based on these views. Golf Digest has said of Sand Hollow’s back nine: “To step on the 11th tee is to step on the edge of the world.”

Opened in 2008, Sand Hollow Golf Course made an immediate impact, quickly becoming one of the top golf courses near St. George, Utah, and a top 100 resort course in the country. Golfers from all over the U.S. travel to Utah to play on the Championship Course.
