About the Course

Opened in 2000, the Wolf Creek golf course has become synonymous with terms such as “picturesque,” “beautiful,” “jaw-dropping,” and “stunning.” Set amidst the mountains and mesas of the desert landscape, the course is surely a sight to behold: filled with gentle slopes, dips, elevation drops, and canyons. The fairways will have you stop and stare at the emerald greenness and white sand bunkers.

Indeed, the mesh of emerald green, white sand, red rock, blue streams, and gold-green cliffs and ravines is, to add yet another adjective that’s undoubtedly been used and over-used about Wolf Creek, awe-inspiring. Its beauty has been depicted in many advertising campaigns, has been featured in video games, and in 2016 drew former number-one world-ranked golfer Jordan Spieth and fellow PGA golfer Gary Woodland to a photoshoot for Under Armour. The course is mentioned with Pebble Beach and Bandon Dunes as a course that many golfers wish to play.

With most holes having downhill tee shots, the course does not play long, but it is challenging. Wolf Creek is recognized as the fourth most difficult U.S. golf course.
