About the Sand Hollow State Park

Some of these water events don’t occur at the park itself but are relatively nearby (such as at the Quail Creek Reservoir). More conveniently, others take place directly on-site, so keep that in mind!

Here at the park’s beloved Sand Hollow Park Reservoir, you can spot multiple fish species. The Bullhead Catfish and the Bluegill are the top two aqua residents. You can fish here any time of year, per your comfort and preferences. This spot’s also one of the state’s best bass-fishing locations. So, if you genuinely desire to reel in those fresh Largemouth Bass or Black Crappies, then this place is for you! You’re still technically allowed to angle harvest up to 6 of these Largemouths simultaneously if one of them should surpass 12 inches.

Directions to Sand Hollow State Park, Utah
It’s time to talk about getting to this incredible state park from Ledges. Sand Hollow State Park is about 24 miles away via UT-18 N.
To begin your journey, make your way to Red Cloud Drive. Then, you’ll follow Red Cloud Drive and then get on W 4400-N to UT-18 N. Going right at the sign/exit for UT-18 N, take a slight left to stay right on it. Continue until it becomes Diagonal St and exit at E-100 N. It’ll eventually become 2600 S W/Merrill Rd. Keep following it even after it becomes E Nichols Peak Rd.
You’ll then go left for S Washington Fields Rd and then slightly right for E Silver Falls Dr. Get off on South Camino Real when you enter the traffic circle. Then go rightward at S 4300 W/Sand Hollow Rd/S Sand Hollow Rd in about 10 miles.
You’ll start to see the main gated entrance to the park on your left in just under 2 miles. Please take it in and follow the signs or traffic controllers for parking. If you’re bringing a boat with you, you’ll have to follow the “Main Boat Ramp Parking signs.” You’re here!
